The Void Gods sent countless Old Gods out to find Proto-Titans, of which Azeroth is one. At most, 5 landed on Azeroth, assuming you count Xal'atath's prisoner. Other planets have their own Old Gods.Before this expansion the Shadowlands were actually "The Veil" (the greyscale world after the PC death). It was some sort of dark limbo where soul could get lost, stuck or attacked before reaching a more "proper" afterlife, usually their religion deity realm or a spirit realm. TL;DR - Trying to figure out the most appropriate race for each class according to the lore, without any one race showing up twice. Brief overview of what I think is best for each class: Dk - Zandalari; Demon Hunter- NElf; Druid - Tauren; Hunter - Dwarf or Troll; Mage - Velf/Belf; Monk - Pandaren; Paladin - Human; Priest - Dranei/Lightforged ... To my understanding, the main races that are native to Azeroth are exclusively Trolls, Goblins, and Tauren (which evolved from the Yaungol found in Pandaria). Even Proto-Drakes are from the elementals. But then you have to consider all of the "creatures" on Azeroth, all of which may or may not be tied to the Plane of Life (through the Emerald ....
