The 62 can be pretty bright depending on your disposition and the era of the sax. The 82Z is a darker sound than the 62 and blows a lot freer than the SX90. And as we see (Bvhoyweg writes) - perhaps the earliest "Weltklang" has the serial number 38xx. There is a photo of "Akustik" tenor with a neck with s/n 5386 on the Bassic-Sax site. The Yani Metal 7 Soprano piece is a great piece, very well made and easy to control from bottom to High F# & G. My favorite piece for soprano is a Selmer Super Session "I" which to me has a bigger sound, however, my second favorite is the Yani Metal 7.1262 posts · Joined 2006. #13 · Aug 11, 2010. I play tested two Buffet-Crampon Baritone Saxophones - one lacquered, one matte; two Selmers, a Series Three and Series Two; and a Antiqua, black lacquer. The only one that came close to my Yamaha was the Antiqua. The Selmers were on par with the Buffet-Cramons.I was in neighboring Brighton yesterday, will have to check out his shop some day. My tech sends complicated repairs to the Boston Sax Shop, and I'm told, with great results. I was very much surprised about how good this horn played. It played better then a series III and a ref 54. My shop has sold three tenors and one alto.They are all exceptional playing saxophones.Worth every penny.The are well finished and play better than any other taiwanese made saxophone I have tried. Mouthpieces I have and like: Otto Link Tone Edge (hard rubber) 7. Guy Hawkins (metal) 7. Both are .110.
