I dislike the Alto, I have a SX90, and did not care at all for the Soprano's. The 62 can be pretty bright depending on your disposition and the era of the sax. The 82Z is a darker sound than the 62 and blows a lot freer than the SX90. All 3 are good, usable saxes and solid for learning on. High overtones are more like whistling through the sax than anything else.
