Pronation is natural and not a bad thing. We have demonized it in order to monetize it.My last 2 pairs of running shoes have been ON running shoes. I used to buy Nike freeruns. But to me ON are pretty much better at every point. I go for flexibility and lightweight in my shoes. I think I was spending 100$ on the free runs and the the ON cloud x cost me around $140 usd. No one has mentioned the New Balance 5280 but it's definitely my favourite carbon plated racer for a 5k. It makes me faster than any other shoe, like 5:15 miles. I have run in pretty much every other super shoe but none is as light, responsive and propulsive. I use my Nike Invincible for 60-70% of my weekly runs. So kinda consider it my daily trainer. My Hoka Clifton 8’s are the best running shoes i’ve ever owned, done well over 1000km’s in them and still as bouncy and responsive as when i first bought them. Grip is still in excellent condition too which isn’t normally the case. Can’t recommend them enough. The kawana is supposedly designed as a gym shoe which can also be used for running. So if you're okay with that I'd say try them. If not I'd personally go for something with a lower stackheight. Maybe a boston 9 or something like that or an altra if you can handle zero drop since they'd probably feel a bit more stable on lifts..
